The Department for Transport has published new guidance requiring local transport authorities in England to prepare and publish a Bus Network Accessibility Plan.

Home-To-School Coach Exemption Window Open

A further application window is open for qualifying operators seeking PSVAR exemptions for non-compliant coaches used on eligible closed-door home-to-school transport.

Operators need to provide relevant O-licence, vehicle and compliance information as part of the application process.

New Accessibility Exemption For Unplanned Rail Replacement Coaches

A new 2026 exemption regime is now in force for prescribed operators using coaches on unplanned rail replacement services.
